Originally, the club was known as the Old Age Pensioners’ Welfare Association. It was formed in 1963 and members met at Smyrna chapel vestry. In 1973 the venue changed to the church hall (now known as Neuadd Cain) and a few years later to the memorial hall.
Meetings are held monthly with guest speakers and there are summer trips as well as a Christmas dinner.
Unfortunately by 2015, however, the number of members had dwindled so much that it was necessary to close the club.
